Sunshine?

It's the middle of June and it's still raining...sigh. Today we had planned to walk to the Farmer's Market by the Beaverton Library with some friends but the weather didn't agree. So instead we went to the play place at the Burger King in Burlingame. Jake is still at the stage where he needs someone to go with him and adults aren't allowed on the top level so Jake would get to the top and then start cyring. I had to go get him twice because he couldn't figure out how to get down. He was entertained on the bottom part for quite awhile.

After we returned home and Jake had a "nap" we went to visit Margo in the Leasing Office. She gave Jake a lollipop and the neighbor kids showed him how to lick it. He did pretty well didn't bite it off, but he did end up very sticky!



We had a birthday party later at the Reedville Park in Hillsboro. It of course rained on us. Jake didn't care and was still running around and playing on the structure. I wanted to take a picture but didn't get the chance....pouring rain and the kid is still running all over.

Later the rain stopped and we played some games. Since it's supposed to be summer there were water games. Jake had a lot of fun playing with the water. Dumping it from one bucket to the other and all over himself. He did have his rain jacket on but his pants and shoes were not so lucky. Needless to say he was pretty tired and fell asleep on the way home.
